กอบศักดิ์ จับสัญญาณ “เฟด” อาจลดดอกเบี้ย

ดร.กอบศักดิ์ คาดเฟดอาจลดดอกเบี้ย จากการส่งสัญญาณของ “พาวเวลล์” กล่าวสุนทรพจน์ที่แจ๊กสันโฮล ชี้ตลาดหุ้นเด้งรับทันที

ดร.กอบศักดิ์ ภูตระกูล กรรมการรองผู้จัดการใหญ่ ธนาคารกรุงเทพ และประธานสภาธุรกิจตลาดทุนไทย (FETCO) โพสต์เฟซบุ๊ก “DR.KOB” หลังการกล่าวสุนทรพจน์ของนายเจอโรม พาวเวลล์ ประธานธนาคารกลางสหรัฐ (เฟด) ที่แจ๊กสันโฮล ว่า เฟด “อาจ” จะลดดอกเบี้ย !!!!

โดยประธานเฟดเพียงแค่พูดเบา ๆ ว่าคิดอะไร แล้วเลือกใช้คำที่ไม่ได้แรงมากนัก “may warrant” หรือ ”มีโอกาส“ ตลาดหุ้นก็ขึ้นเกือบ 1,000 จุด

“ในการสัมมนาประจำปีที่ Jackson Hole เช้านี้ ท่านประธานเฟดบอกว่า

In the near term, risks to inflation are tilted to the upside, and risks to employment to the downside—a challenging situation. When our goals are in tension like this, our framework calls for us to balance both sides of our dual mandate. Our policy rate is now 100 basis points closer to neutral than it was a year ago, and the stability of the unemployment rate and other labor market measures allows us to proceed carefully as we consider changes to our policy stance.

Nonetheless, with policy in restrictive territory, the baseline outlook and the shifting balance of risks may warrant adjusting our policy stance.”

อย่างไรก็ดี เนื่องจากดอกเบี้ยนโยบายยังคงตึงตัว จากแนวโน้มเศรษฐกิจที่คาดไว้ และการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสมดุลความเสี่ยง เฟดอาจต้องปรับท่าทีด้านนโยบายในช่วงต่อไป !!!
