เช้าวันนี้ (6 มกราคม 2563) ซึ่งตรงกับค่ำวันที่ 5 มกราคม 2563 ตามเวลาสหรัฐอเมริกา ณ โรงแรม เดอะ เบเวอลี่ฮิลส์ รัฐแคลิฟอร์เนีย ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา มีการจัดงานประกาศผลรางวัลลูกโลกทองคำ (Golden Globe Awards) ซึ่งเป็นรางวัลสำหรับภาพยนตร์ (ทั่วโลก) และรายการโทรทัศน์ (อเมริกา) โดยการโหวตของนักข่าวและสื่อมวลชนในสหรัฐอเมริกา ถือเป็นรางวัลอันทรงเกียรติเป็นรองเพียงแค่รางวัลออสการ์ (Oscar) เท่านั้น ซึ่งในปี 2020 นี้ เป็นการประกาศรางวัลลูกโลกทองคำครั้งที่ 77
